THE MUNEMASA SHUZO CO. OF ARITA, JAPAN

The Munemasa Shuzo Co. is located in the small town of Arita, which is found in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. 100% of the ingredients used in our shochu is harvested in Saga, with much of the barley and rice coming from small farms near Imari, and our lemongrass grown in Taeko. Our water is sourced from Kurokami-yama just to the east of Arita. The island of Kyushu is home to close to three-hundred shochu distilleries and was the birthplace of Japanese shochu nearly 500 years ago.
